Videos for the who drummer by relevance Absolute Video Page 10
Me doing a tribute to The Rev here with Avenged Sevenfold's "Almost Easy" on the drums. This drummer was a fantastic drummer who had some of the coolest hard rock beats. It's a shame he had to leave so early. This song was so much fun to do, and i really believe that a tribute was needed for The Rev. So here it is!Video Recording goes to Chris Pomparelli (www.youtube.com/pompsieproductions). Much thanks to you Chris! **Copyright Statement** This video is not intended to infringe any copyright laws in any way. This is for the sole purpose of entertainment, no profit is gained from this. The Coma Lilies perform the Aphex Twin song "4", from Richard D. James Album. This was filmed during a live on-air performance on KALX, 90.7 UC Berkeley's official radio station, its dark, and the sound quality is pretty crappy, but you get the idea. ALSO, The Coma Lilies are going on a tour of the US for three months in the spring of 2008, anyone who might be interested in seeing us play and wants to perhaps help us get a gig in their area should send us a message, we need all the help we can get. Thanks a lot.

www.sts9.com Track #29 on their remix CD. But check out the whole CD. It's a really neat listen in my opinion. Plus it goes towards a good cause. Some background info: Zach, the drummer for the band STS9, asked me to remix a song of theirs. His drums from "Beyond Right Now" ended up inspiring me to make a whole new tune. I'll update here when I know where/when it'll be available to download. I got a ton of emails from friends telling me to check these guys out so I was excited when they contacted me and I owe thanks to them for inspiring me to create this collab tune. They have some great jamz and interesting sounds. Check them out: www.sts9.com you can download my albums here www.ronaldjenkees.com
Leave a comment for your favourite drummer, Mike or Danny? Your comments should reflect your personal opinion only. Everyone has the right to an opinion and this is a place you can express that. Please do not comment about the footage used. If you are not familiar with Danny Carry's work then please don't comment it goes with Mike Portnoy. It is very hard to find good clean official footage of Danny Carey playing. This is not a best of, or a show case of what either drummer can do. The other option is to have still photos playing to a song... very lame There is no bias from ratemydrums regarding either player. Both videos are of Danny and Mike playing with there respective bands, both have about the same time and both contain drummers playing to backing tracks and live footage. More drum battles coming soon! www.ratemydrums.com Share and be inspired The question a lot of you are asking is "Is it right to compare two great artists?" There are two ways of looking at it; the first way is drummer "A" vs. drummer "B" and asking who is best or who would win a competition? I believe this is wrong as neither drummer asked to be judged or entered into a competition. This is NOT what I am trying to do. I will say it again; this is not a competition and not what I am trying to do. The other way of looking at it is one of advanced appreciation. Let me explain what I mean. Take a drummer like Danny Carey; do you enjoy his music on its own without anything to compare it to? Yes, I do ...
If you go to Atlantic City there is a man who sits on the boardwalk and plays the pots and pans. Very interesting. He gets annoyed when you take his picture from the front though.
Juliya caught up with Rob Zombie/Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison who talks touring with Zombie, Murderdolls new album, and some news about Slipknot.
Derek Roddy, this is a drum solo of this guys who is a Death Metal drummer for the band Hate Eternal, he is a really fast drummer...
Oh Sleeper Vices Like Vipers The Door Fort Worth Drummer Ryan Conley has quit Oh Sleeper to join the navy to become a navy seal. These videos are the classic last show Ryan played with Oh Sleeper where he passes the torch to new Drummer Matt Davis who Ryan says is a way better drummer than he would ever be. Ryan also proposed to his wife to be Lyn Cole on stage with the crowds participation. Sometimes lives come together in one place for bigger moments than what we dream of and this video is just a small taste of priceless once in a lifetime never even possible to happen again good times. Cost for tickets to see Oh Sleeper, Sky Eats Airplane, The Famine and Belle Epoque $10 bucks. You watching this video,..? PRICELESS!!! This is part of a series of of video interviews and live music that includes over a dozen Oh Sleeper, Belle Epoque and Sky Eats Airplane all from the Saturday, February 7th show at The Door Fort Worth. Major Special Thanks to sound man Garth Orr who makes us all sound so good. Oh Sleeper The Door FTW, Texas Classic Last Show Ryan Conley Oddly enough, failure is the binding fabric that held the members of recently formed Oh Sleeper together and kept them from slowly embedding themselves further in defeat. "Everyone in this project refused to continue on with our lives until weve made the difference that we are supposed to make in music." says drummer Ryan Conley. Scattered in different corners of the country, something bigger brought these guys together in ...
2010 is the 20th anniversary of Rust in Peace, the incredibly explosive, riff-packed, shredathon by Megadeth. Despite its massively guitar-centric focus, the songs are nonetheless great to non-guitarists and are still totally relevant musically. Lucretia is not one of the well-known songs from RIP, but is fun to play with its funky beats and constant changes. This is Megadeth's "classic" lineup with Nick Menza on drums and he's a musical drummer, as opposed to Chris Adler (for example), who is much more a technical drummer. If you are under age 30 and don't own Rust In Peace, it's worth owning just for the riffs.
